Okay I’ve been sharing a number of sweets currently so it’s time for some savoury. It is a laborious recipe for me to jot down as a result of I’m actually horrible at making polenta. It’s one of many solely meals that my husband cooks for us. Polenta is a really conventional Romanian meals and each me and my husband grew up on it. I really like having it with these creamy vegan mushrooms. Right here is the recipe:


2 cups water
half of cup polenta
Good pinch salt.

Boil the water on the range with salt. As soon as boiling slowly add the polenta a bit bit at a time whereas whisking constantly. You need to whisk very strongly and vigorously so the polenta doesn’t clump. As soon as thickened, serve. You can too add some vegan butter whereas whisking.

Vegan mushrooms:
1 brown onion diced
2 cloves garlic
three cups diced mushrooms ⅓ cup cashews
1 cup unsweetened soy milk ( different plant-based milks will work however soy provides most genuine style)
½ tsp paprika
1 TBSP dietary yeast
juice half small lemon
1 tsp tahini

Fry onion, garlic and mushrooms till water has evaporate. Mix the remaining components in a blender till clean. Pour a bit bit at a time and blend by means of the mushrooms till combination is completed. Serve with contemporary parsley
