1¼ cup blanched almond meal
¾ cup wholemeal spelt flour (or sub any gluten-free flour of selection)
⅔ cup cacao powder
2 tsp baking powder
¼ cup heat water
¼ cup avocado oil
1 cup maple syrup
2 tsp vanilla extract
CHOCOLATE ICING:
2 TBSP avocado oil
2 TBSP cacao powder
2 TBSP maple syrup
Technique
In a big bowl combine the almond meal, flour, cacao powder and baking powder.
In a separate bowl combine the water, avocado oil, maple syrup and vanilla.
Pour the liquid combination over the dry and blend to mix.
Pour batter right into a strains sq. baking tin and bake for about 45 minutes at 180 C or till a toothpick comes out clear.
Take away from oven and permit to chill earlier than icing.
Combine the icing components in a small bowl and pour over cake, easy with a spatula. Pop within the fridge for an hour to harden.

  1. Brownies normally don’t need baking soda or baking powder so I’d say that was optional. Add in a banana and a few eggs and you end up with a fluffy and goey brownie! Mmmm this looks delicious
